But when he, the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak of his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. He will bring glory to me by taking from what is mine and making it known to you. All what belongs to the Father is mine. That is why I said the Spirit will take from what is mine and make it known to you. John 16:13-15.


Simon Peter answered. ‘you are the Christ, the Son of the living God.’ Jesus replied, ‘Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by man, but by my Father in heaven. And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it. I will give you the keys of the kingdom  of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. Matthew 16:16-19

Arise, shine for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you. See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples, but the Lord rises upon you and his glory appears over you. Isaiah 60:1, 2.

In their fright the women bowed down with their faces to the ground, but the men said to them, ‘why do you look for the living among the dead? He is not here; he has risen! Remember what he told you, while he was still with you in Galilee: ‘The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, be crucified and on the third day be raised again.  Luke 24:5-8.

Brothers, choose seven men from among you who are known to be full of the Spirit and wisdom, we will turn this responsibility over to them and will give our attention to prayer and the ministry of the word Acts 6:3, 4.

Therefore go and make disciples of al nations, baptizing them in the name of the Sather and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age. Mathew 28:19-20.

I am the Lord; that is my name! I will no give my glory to another or my praise to idols, Isaiah 42:8

When Jacob awoke from his sleep, he thought, ‘surely the Lord is in this place, and I was not aware of it’ He was afraid and said, ‘How awesome is this place! This is none other than the house of God; and this is the gate of heaven. Genesis 28:16-17

Jesus answered, ‘I am the way and the truth and the life.  No one comes to the Father except through me. John 14:6

Do everything without complaining or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a crooked and depraved generation, in which you shine like starts in the universe as you hold out the word of life-in order that I may boast on the day of Christ that I did not run or labor for nothing. I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “Who ism and who was and who is to come, the Almighty. Revelation 1:8.

One thing I ask of the Lord, this is what I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord and to seek him in his temple. For in the day of trouble he will keep me safe in his dwelling; he will hide me in the shelter of his tabernacle and set me high on a rock. Psalms 27:4, 5.
Our Histrory and Background

Glory of Christ church was started in 1995 by REV. SAMUEL K. MWANGI at a small town called Kiria-ini in Murang’a County of central Kenya. God called him to plant a new church in this town where the reputation and the name of Christ had been greatly ruined by the misconduct and weakened morals among ministers and the local church. God told him to call the name of the new church “Glory of Christ Centre", so that the church shall be a centre where Christ’s glory is preserved and upheld.  A place of integrity, a people who truly follow Christ in word and deed, ones who bring Him glory in this world. When God called him, he came up with his wife and two children and two other people who accompanied him from another more rural church that he was previously pastoring. It was located about 10 Kilometers deeper in the interior, South East of the new and the bigger town.

Ever since the church was born, many great things have taken place. The goal has been achieved. The church truly represents Christ to the world and the community around. Many people have been born into the kingdom of God. They have been taught the ways of God. They have matured and developed from being strangers with God, to maturing and mature Christians with an intimate relationship with God and even to ministers of the gospel. As a result, more churches have been planted from the original church, many have become pastors, more others have become family people in godly families, and Christ is indeed glorified among many men as a result. From the founding pastor, 10 other pastors have been brought up in the past 17 years. Churches, daughter churches, from the original mother church have been born and continue to be born. The ministry that started at Kiria-ini has gone to Gikomba, Kayole and Lang’ata in Nairobi, to Kamacharia a few miles from Kiria-ini, in Malindi at the coast, at Kenol near Thika, in Kieni near Nyeri and still growing.  This shows a work started by God in progress. We look ahead to reproduce the good works of God in many lives, many places and regions. Many cultures, people groups and nations.
