Personal Profile
I was born in the Murang’a county of Central Kenya. I am a daughter of the late Peter Mwangi and Eunice Njambi. My parents greatly inspired me to work hard and be disciplined in my life, to have good morals, to fear God and to relate well with people. These were boosted by my grandmother, the late Sarah Muthoni who imparted godliness and faith in God in me. I am a trained teacher currently working at Kangema High School in Murang’a. I am a trained counselor, I hold a Bachelors’ degree in Biblical studies, have studied practical ministries at Word of Faith Bible College, and have done short courses on church planting among others. I am married to Rev. Samuel Kahuho. We are the parents of two lovely children; Keziah Christine Muthoni and Victor E. Mwangi who are in their early adulthood and pursuing education as they serve God
Conversion and Spiritual Growth
I gave my life to Jesus in my teen ages and have remained committed to the faith. I have helped in establishing God’s work in churches, institutions of learning and in preaching the Gospel in Kenya.
Ministry
I pastor God’s flock with my husband Samuel with whom we started the Glory of Christ Centre at Kiria-ini that has ever since expanded to many other places. We have raised many men and women of faith who are doing God’s work in Kenya and beyond. She participates in raising believers to maturity through discipleship. I have worked with my husband in training church leaders in Kenya and also in Uganda and Rwanda. I have ministered to men in the church and encouraged the older men to train the newly wed men on good stewardship in family, godliness and service to God. I encourage women to know their placement and to serve God alongside with men and to be supportive in their families. I have for long facilitated monthly ladies’ meetings, conferences and Sunday meetings. Besides, I have overseen the youths and children gathered in relevant ministry groups for better service where each one of them gets identity in church. Not forgetting other church ministries as praise and worship, evangelism, ushers and caretakers, etc.
As a pastor I have mobilized the believers to build strong fellowship with God and among themselves in home fellowships, prayer meetings, with fellow men, women and youths and to preach the good news to our community. I have seen the church move out to help the needy in the needy families, children’s home, building a house for some needy families, raising school fees for needy children and helping the needy raise hospital bills. She is mobilizing the church as well as well wishers in gathering resources for the ongoing construction of the church complex.
I delight in seeing God’s work established in the lives of people from the youngest to the oldest. Showing them their worth and value in God, encouraging them to serve God in their generation in line with the church mission statement of adding value to people and producing servants of God. Imparting in them in the things of God and telling others about the love of Christ. I love being used of God and participating with God in His house and vineyard. I also love serving together with other servants of God who are like minded. I love imparting on one and one and also groups. She is the pastor in charge of the mother church at Kiria-ini.
